FAQs
That’s a big question that varies by customer. Generally, this depends on your situation and audience e.g sales, customer service, etc.
As a company that takes data security and privacy very seriously, we recognize that Rehearsal’s information security and data privacy practices are important to you. While we don’t like to expose too much detail around our practices (as it can empower the very people we are protecting ourselves against), we have provided some general information here to give you confidence in how we secure the data entrusted to us. We adhere to this principle: When storing and transmitting data, we must ensure a high level of data protection and data security. That goes for information pertaining to our customers, prospects, business partners and employees. Because data protection is people protection. Read more about our data privacy and security here.
There are three integration types: User, Data, and Content.
Content integration involves the use of links that lead directly to specific role-plays inside of Rehearsal. These links can be normal links that open into a new window or tab, or they can be more advanced, displaying Rehearsal content directly inside of your system's pages via the use of iframes or shadowboxes. Rehearsal assignments can be integrated into any SCORM course and most LMSs.
We suggest rolling out 2-3 new scenarios every three weeks, followed by Coaching and Leaderboard recognition. Scenarios can be a compliment to your training plans surrounding new products, events, marketing campaigns, customer policy changes, etc.
User integration allows for the seamless transition from your existing systems to Rehearsal. Without user integration, the first time a user accesses Rehearsal, he or she will be required to enter a username and password. With user integration, the user sees the desired content immediately. User integration can be done via an SSO protocol such as SAML 2.0, or via our Restful API. The latter will require your IT group to get involved as some development time may be necessary.
There are many LMS providers in the space, and while we have certainly worked with some of the major players, such as Litmos and Blackboard, we will need to determine what integrations your particular system supports. We provide several levels of integration with LMS and HRIS systems depending on if your particular system supports OpenAPI – a set of technologies that essentially allows websites and web applications to talk to one another. Our system communicates using a Restful API. We will gladly set up a meeting with our technical team to discuss your environment and needs.
That completely depends on the scenario. Practicing an elevator pitch is fast, practicing a PowerPoint presentation is longer. However, for processing, it takes about 10-15 seconds for a recorded video to be ready after you stop recording, review it and submit it.
Data integration is as follows:
Information is pulled from Rehearsal by your system using our API. We offer a public API that some customers use to pull Rehearsal information into their own data warehouse, build dashboards, reporting, etc.
We support several SSO protocols, but most easily support customers that use SAML 2.0; view the knowledge base here for more information. Please contact us to discuss your SSO environment and needs.
Learners can use webcam-enabled computers and laptops, tablets and smartphones. Our development teams test on multiple platforms and devices.
Setting up a scenario can happen as quickly as 3-5 minutes. Designing a good scenario will take around 20 minutes to fully scope out all aspects. Creation of a great scenario can take up to an hour.
Mentors can leave written and/or video feedback, and time-based comments. They can prompt learners for a new response or end the assignment by providing a final score based on the grading criteria established. Any user can be given mentor status to any group. The Administrator(s) assigns this status.
A scenario is a context based task. The first step is to explain the context (situation) and define the task (what you want the user to do). It is very helpful to prepare a script before creating the scenario. A description and grading criteria should also be prepared. To help the user prepare, additional files can be included.
Creating the scenario is easily done using Rehearsal’s video and audio recording tools. You can also upload video and audio files.
Learners have a unique username and password to log in, and see only the scenarios assigned to their groups. Learners record a response and submit. Mentors are then notified via email or push notification if the native iOS or Android app is installed (phone or tablet).
There are several ways learners can access a scenario: email link, push notification to our mobile app, or embedded links in an LMS course. Users can also log into their Rehearsal dashboard to see all their current and completed assignments.
We have minor releases every 4-6 weeks. As we are a SaaS-based solution, no action is required on your part. You will receive release notes.
No, they cannot. e.g. Department Leads who are mentors for their own groups will not see or be able to grade responses for other groups. Admins can see and grade everything.
No. Only scenarios that are promoted to the Leaderboard can be viewed by learners. Admins and mentors decide on promotion and can write a note about the scenario.
Typically, our training sessions are one hour long and you are taken through creating, grading, and promoting programs, topics and role-plays, creating users, groups, and mentors, metrics and site settings.
Yes. Basic aspects of the application can be changed, such as the background. Soon, the app will be fully customizable. If you have more questions, please check out the the ELB Learning knowledge base.
Yes! Think of Rehearsal as a practice platform for all communication skills. From simple ask and answer questions, to practicing detailed presentations; uses for Rehearsal are expanding every month.
With our screen recording capability users can also demonstrate proficiency with web and desktop applications. Did you know that you can take Rehearsal into the field? Using our mobile app users can demonstrate proficiency with on-site tasks or engage in multi-person role plays.
Normally, a kick-off meeting takes 60 minutes.
No. Rehearsal has an audio only option, which is ideal for environments where web cams are not readily available.
Our screen capture technology is integrated seamlessly with Rehearsal and is included at no additional cost. It requires a one-time download and works with any desktop browser. It is not supported on mobile devices.
Yes. We probably already have an integration built, and if not, we can build one. View our knowledge base for more details.
From sales enablement to medical knowledge, leadership to soft skills, Rehearsal has been proven to help learners master communication skills. With this video-coaching platform, you can give employees a customer role-play scenario, test their knowledge of a product, or help them perfect their best elevator pitch. Rehearsal is as powerful as you are creative.

MicroBuilder:
MicroBuilder is designed to fast‑track creation while relying on human expertise for accuracy, compliance, and brand voice.
We recommend that you:
We may update providers to improve quality, latency, and cost. We will keep this FAQ up to date as changes occur.
MicroBuilder offers a comparable ability to assemble modern, responsive lessons quickly. Where MicroBuilder truly stands out is in its built-in access to multiple content formats, AI-assisted text, avatar video, audio/TTS, VR, and games, that can be embedded directly into a single learning experience. It also offers one-click translation across text, video, and audio, making global rollouts effortless. Because content is hosted centrally, any SCORM modules distributed across multiple LMS platforms can be updated simultaneously, ensuring consistency and saving valuable time.
Pricing is structured per user. Today, logins can be shared; however, when our collaboration features are released, parallel logins will be blocked, and pricing will be enforced on a per-user basis.
Pro tip: For teams anticipating collaboration, plan seat assignments accordingly.
MicroBuilder uses AI translation (Amazon Translate) to generate first‑pass translations quickly. Like any AI service, outputs may include errors or nuances that require human involvement. We recommend that all translated content undergo human review before being published.
Pro tip: Have a native/fluent reviewer validate terminology, tone, and brand voice. Use your organization’s glossary and style guide when reviewing.
MicroBuilder streamlines multi‑format creation into one place:
We integrate multiple AI services (including OpenAI for text generation), and we design MicroBuilder to structure outputs directly into eLearning‑ready formats. However, no generative AI can guarantee factual accuracy. MicroBuilder accelerates authoring while keeping a human in the loop for editing, fact‑checking, and finalizing content within one tool.
If you’d like our assistance to ensure human-verified accuracy, please reach out to us here.
Any documents uploaded to MicroBuilder apply only to the module being used. They are not shared across other modules.
Yes. You can add custom backgrounds to avatar videos created in MicroBuilder.
We prioritize speed and ease of use for first‑pass translation. However, independent linguistic quality assurance (QA) and automated quality scoring are on our roadmap. In the meantime, plan for human review as part of your workflow.
If you’d like our assistance with a manual translation validation, please reach out to us here.

CenarioVR supports the use of MP4 video, MP3 audio, PNG, JPG, SVG, GLB, and non-animated GIFimages.
360 degree video and images can be gathered or captured in a variety of different ways. Common examples include renting or purchasing a 360 degree camera, downloading stock options from a website, or contracting a third party to shoot and produce the videos or images.
Depending on your plan you'll have access to the Analytics dashboard. Analytics can either be seen from a scenario or learner perspective. Data points include:
An equirectangular image is the term used to describe a spherical image that has been made into a flat object. An example would be a world map or 3D projection of a 360 degree viewpoint.
Yes. Your data is backed up nightly, in an encrypted, compressed form.
CenarioVR is an easy-to-use, online authoring tool for creating virtual reality simulations. It allows you to create engaging and intuitive interactions that make an impact. Learners can explore and participate in a captivating 360° virtual environment designed to expand their vision, promote learning, increase retention, and achieve outcomes.
Publishing to CenarioVR Live and Mobile gives learners access to your scenario on the mobile app. You can also publish to HTML5 for website hosting. Or send it to xAPI, CMI5, or SCORM for hosting on a Learning Management System or Learning Record Store.
You can create unlimited scenarios with the Pro subscription or eLearning Brothers Authoring Suites - Platinum plan.
It depends on how you publish. Content published and hosted on external sites such as an LMS or a websitehas unlimited viewing potential. Distribution via CenarioVR will be dependent upon the plan you purchase.
If the content has been published publicly the scenario will be visible on the Public Scenarios tab. Assigned content appears in the Assigned Scenario tab.
Anyone can change their own passwords using the "Forgot Password" link on the login screen. Authorized users in an Administrator or Organizational Administrator role can change a user's password by selecting "Users" on the CenarioVR dashboard followed by clicking the ellipses (three dots ...) on the right side of the screen next to the user's name. Then choose Edit.
To create a scenario from scratch, you must upload at least one 360 degree video in MP4 format or an equirectangular image that's either PNG or JPG. Be sure to check out our CenarioVR Resources for acomplete list of all the articles and videos regarding CenarioVR.
After you have been added into the system, anemail will be sent asking you to set up your password. Complete the steps instructed to gain access into CenarioVR.
CenarioVR is hosted on the web here: https://cenariovr.com/. Be sure to access the site through Chrome, Firefox, or Safari using a stable internet connection. For the best user experience, access the site via your laptop or personal computer. Mobile phone and tablet development is not supported at this time.
Yes. Any scenario can be shared with another author in your organization. This feature is only available on certain plans. Please refer to our Plans and reach out to your eLearning Brothers Account Representative if you have any questions.
Yes. Public content is open to the general public and can be viewed at any time, even on the CenarioVR mobile app. Private content is available only via invitation to assigned viewers.
Yes. CenarioVR supports 4K video upload.
Always capture your source material in 4K resolution or higher. Remember that 4K resolution is split between multiple lenses and spread over a full 360 degrees, so 4K images and video only give you HD ineach hemisphere. If the resulting video is too large orrequires too much bandwidth (see the compression section below), you can always lower the resolution to HD if the subject matter does not need it (but you can’tgo the other way).
Grading questions within CenarioVR is automatic. When publishing, you also have the optionto include or not include a score. When publishing to SCORM, the package includes the necessary information to “complete” and score a scenario.
Content published to CenarioVR allows you to view it either on the web, on a mobile device, or on various headsets. There are also native CenarioVR apps forthe following devices:
Note: Oculus does not allow Enterprise Apps on the Quest store. To install the CenarioVR app on Quest it will need to be sideloaded, or you need to utilize the Oculus for Business Platform (https://business.oculus.com/), which is the Oculus supported way of using Enterprise Apps on the Quest. Instructions for how to sideload for the Quest can be found here. For all of the device types (except Quest), there is a free CenarioVR App on the store for the device. Just go to the store for the device, download the app, and log in using either an author or student ID. A student will only see content that is assigned to them, and public content if that is enabled for their organization. An author will also see assigned and public content, but will additionally have a tab for “My Scenarios” which will have any scenarios that the author has published. Scenarios under “My Scenarios” do not generate xAPI statements and won’t gather analytics, giving you a chance to test your output before distributing to students.
YES! We even have a CenarioVR object type in Lectora.
Absolutely! eLearning Brothers is proud to support academic and military organizations with the best eLearning software on the market. Reach out to your eLearning Brothers Account Representative if you have any questions.
