How Games Complement Trade Show Kiosk Experiences
A gamified experience tested attendees' skills at retail item display in a fun way.

The Planogram Crush game was designed and developed to serve as a companion application for an interactive experience during trade shows and conferences; the perfect play between the client application and gamification.
One Door is a visual merchandising company transforming how retailers plan, execute, and analyze their in-store merchandising, enabling continuous resets, hyper-localization and personalization, and a simpler experience for store teams.
One Door wanted an interactive experience for trade shows and conferences that would draw attendees in.
One Door’s existing SAS (Statistical Analysis System) helps merchandisers associated with major global retail brands efficiently execute in-store promotional displays. The Planogram Crush game was designed and developed to serve as a companion application for an interactive experience during trade shows and conferences; the perfect play between the client application and gamification.
Before the player steps up to the 6ft-tall screen, they are given a reference image for the level they are about to play. From there, it’s a game of memory, speed, and placement accuracy in order to select the correct items from the side bank to recreate the correct shelf display.
At any time the player can submit their display to see how many item placements are correct vs. incorrect.
The level is over when the player has completed the correct display! They can then choose to move onto the next level and also see how they are scoring against their fellow peers.
