Helping Workers Optimize Their Career Journeys
How custom ILT helps workers build their leadership skills.

This experience is designed for instructor-led training and has been utilized in groups of 25 participants arranged in table teams. It has targeted to women early to mid careers, women currently in leadership roles and to men and women who want to discuss gender roles and career decisions.
The Leadership Forum's mission is to change the quality of conversations, whether those are about strategy and insight, performance and feedback, team dynamics, conflicts and interpersonal differences or inclusion, trust and collaboration.
Navigating Your Career through The World of Sabrina Simulation Experience was written by Dr. Wanda Wallace, Managing Partner of the Leadership Forum, radio show host of “Out of the Comfort Zone” and author of both “Reaching the Top” and “You Can’t Know it All.”
This course is designed to gather details about employee motivations; align values with career options and help players optimize their occupational journey. This simulation is designed to:
Participants work in teams to prioritize investments they make in their careers by choosing which actions will have the greatest benefit. Should they spend time in relationships and EQ or is it more important for them to get organized and develop their brands? As teams identify their priorities, a set of meters are created and displayed at the top of the screen featuring stakeholder management, promotion readiness, and business impact.
Next, teams face a number of scenarios. Every team gets the same exact scenarios. However, teams experience different outcomes depending on how their decisions correlate with their original investments.
For example, if a team selected “paying it forward” or “building relationships” as important activities for their career, but they do not agree to do extra work that would help out their coworkers, then their individual meters would not pay as much of a price.
In contrast, if they wish to finish an important project and proactively think about how they can communicate the outcomes, their meters would benefit differentially depending on what approach they took. In the end, teams will get a chance to see their overall performance based on their choices during game play given the decisions they made at the very beginning.
This experience is designed for instructor-led training and has been utilized in groups of 25 participants arranged in table teams. It has targeted to women early to mid careers, women currently in leadership roles and to men and women who want to discuss gender roles and career decisions. Facilitators take the learners through the course and ask individuals in small groups to make decisions along the way. Repercussions and player scores naturally leave room for group discussions.
This course leverages a partnership between The Training Arcade®, our game authoring tool, and Leadership Forum LLC allowing the content to be customized quickly and cost effectively.
