Global Healthcare L&D Staff Augmentation
How Montefiore Medical Center Successfully Uses Staff Augmentation to Meet Evolving Business Needs

“Working with ELB has enabled us to flex our resources to meet the evolving needs of our organization. We have been able to work with professionals with a wide variety of skills in our field. We have delivered classes on time and have always received positive reviews. We never hesitate to reach ELB whenever we have a need!”
Montefiore Medical Center, the academic medical center and University Hospital for Albert Einstein College of Medicine in New York state, is nationally recognized for clinical excellence—continuously furthering medical research, training the next generation of healthcare leaders, and delivering science-driven, patient-centered care.
Montefiore is ranked among the top hospitals nationally and regionally by U.S. News & World Report. Through highly integrated teams of physicians, nurses, social workers, mental health professionals and other caregivers, Montefiore has created an innovative, seamless system of care focused around the patient.
With a growing emphasis on global healthcare systems, there are evolving needs to meet at the organizational level. To support these objectives, the learning and development team at Montefiore Medical Center had specific projects to roll out within a finite time frame. This meant that the L&D team was required to be fully staffed at all times with a variety of skill sets. Further, there were instances of staff exiting the organization and leaving behind training decks with no facilitator notes or instructions for how to run the learning activity or curriculum. It was a challenge to execute L&D plans continuously and seamlessly. Training content and material had to be quickly put together to support various departments and their learning/skilling goals.
Montefiore Medical Center had previously engaged with ELB Learning and was aware of the specialized services offered. With ELB’s vast talent pool, pre-screened and highly skilled L&D professionals were hand-picked and vetted through an in-depth interview process. A wide range of skill sets were requested—Instructional Designers, Technical Writers, Virtual Facilitators, Web Designers and LMS Administrators. The staffing gaps were closed almost immediately. ELB’s staffing experts ensured seamless onboarding of the candidates and integration with Montefiore’s L&D team.
The experienced candidates proved to be the right choice as they were able to produce results from Day 1. Projects were completed on time and on budget, and the right skill sets ensured training content was effective, engaging, and scored high on learning value. Overall, Montefiore’s L&D team contributed to achieving business goals.
