Lewis Services is one of North America’s largest vegetation management companies and has been responding to the needs of customers for over 80 years now. With over four thousand team members, the company provides reliable and cost-effective services without compromising on safety and quality. Lewis has served investor-owned utilities, electric cooperatives, and municipal electric utilities providing a wide range of vegetation management services including transmission and distribution utility line clearance, rights-of-way maintenance, and emergency storm response and restoration.
With over 4000 employees, the 2-person L&D team at Lewis Services is very busy year-round. They need to continuously deliver training programs for their front-line employees and corporate headquarters. In order to provide easy access to their courses and curricula, the organization invested in an LMS. However, even after 6 months of implementation, the LMS could not be set up to function as intended. The L&D department continued to struggle in creating course activities, setting up dashboards, and even generating reports. The onboarding support from the LMS company was abysmal and failed to provide any impact to their L&D initiatives.
